New online application process for yellow bus service

Applications for yellow bus service can now be submitted online. Whether you’re a new rider or a returning rider, you need to apply for yellow bus service before June 1, 2020 for the 2020-21 school year. Learn more about eligibility and how to apply. If you have any issues applying or aren’t able to submit the form online, please contact our school.

Transportation

Students who are enrolled at McKee School and are in the Windermere area or are enrolled in our Behavior and Learning Assistance Program are eligible for busing. Please contact the office to inquire about transportation for your student if you are in the Windermere area or are a part of our BLA program.

DETERMINING ELIGIBILITY FOR YELLOW BUSING

Eligibility for yellow bus service is determined by where a student lives. Find your designated school by entering your home address into the Find a School tool. View the detailed map on any school page to see yellow bus services.

Students who are enrolled in their designated school and live:

  • within the walk boundary (usually about 2.4km) are not eligible for yellow bus service
  • outside of the walk boundary may be eligible for service

BUS FEES

The Board of Trustees approved the 2020-21 Student Transportation fee schedule at the April 28 board meeting. Earlier this year, the Division surveyed families to help determine bus fees for the upcoming school year. We simplified the fees based on what we heard. Students’ age, grade and programming are no longer used to determine fees. Fees are broken down by either yellow bus service or ETS service.

Yellow bus fees will be increasing for most students. Monthly ETS passes will remain the same.
